Welcome aboard the Ark!   Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice exists to support life-limited children and their families, providing practical and emotional support.  Life-limited children are not expected to reach their 19th birthday, and can suffer from a range of conditions including rare and incurable cancers, progressive degenerative conditions such as muscular dystrophy and irreversible conditions that make the child susceptible to health complications and premature death.   Whilst some families have only a short time to spend with their child before death, for many it is a journey lasting years – one which needs courage and stamina.  When a child is ill, the whole family suffers and we want to offer an holistic service caring for and supporting all members of the family to enable them to continue their lives together while the child is still alive and helping them to face the future, with hope, following the child’s death.  We want to create positive experiences along the way which the family will remember in the future, and to help them to make every precious moment count.   A children’s hospice service exists to add life to years, where it cannot add years to life.  Our children do not have the gift of time – help us to help them now!
