Terms and Conditions
If you are undertaking a charity skydive/parachute jump in order to raise funds for charity and wish your costs to be recovered from sponsorship raised, you must agree to raise the minimum amount of sponsorship money as stated on the “jump for charity” page of this website. If you also wish to recover reimbursement of the deposit you must raise this portion of your sponsorship offline – deposits cannot be recovered from funds raised online.
If you are undertaking a charity skydive/parachute jump for yourself, the cost for the training and the jump must be paid on the day of the training and this payment is totally non-refundable even if you do not jump for any reason.
If, due to bad weather, or any other reason beyond the control of the parachute centre, you are unable to jump on the agreed date, you should arrange an alternative date with the parachute centre. It will be up to the jumper to return to the parachute centre on another occasion(s) if necessary to complete their jump.
If you are buying a Gift Voucher the full cost of the jump must be paid through the Gift Voucher Online Booking form. This includes a non-refundable booking deposit as referred to in section 6 below and the remainder which represents the fee for the jump and all associated training which is passed on by Skydive Zone Ltd to the parachute centre who are solely responsible for these elements. Gift Vouchers are refundable within the first 28 days subject to a £25 administration fee. Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months but can be transferred to another person within this period. An extension of six months to gift vouchers can be granted for an additional fee of £25.
In return for your booking deposit (valid for one year), Skydive Zone Ltd will make the arrangements necessary for you to undertake the parachute jump of your choice at a parachute centre near to you or elsewhere if you agree. Skydive Zone Ltd will act as your agent when arranging your chosen parachute jump, not that of the parachute centres.
All booking deposits are completely non-refundable and are payable to Skydive Zone Ltd and cover various costs including without limitation assisting you to find a parachute centre where you may carry out your jump and in the case of gift vouchers the design and printing of the voucher. Such booking deposits are valid for twelve months from the date of booking and should the jumper not be able to complete their jump due to inclement weather alternative arrangements will be made. 'Open dated' gift vouchers may be redeemed at any time within this twelve month period.
Payment Flow and Delivery Policy
Having paid the balance of the cost of your training and parachute jump, you will be covered for up to £2,000,000 as a member of the British Parachute Association Liability Insurance. This insurance does not cover you for personal injury or death and both Skydive Zone and any charities represented recommend that, if you wish to take out additional insurance, that you make your own arrangements to acquire adequate cover.
Upon receipt of a completed booking form and deposit Skydive Zone Ltd will send out a confirmation email with the date and time of your skydive within 5 working days, the balance of your skydive is payable on the day of your jump at the location chosen unless agreed in advance by Skydive Zone Ltd and your chosen charity.
Refund / Cancellation Policy
All deposits are non-refundable. Parachute centres have limited places available, instructors and equipment have to be pre-booked, therefore, if you fail to give less than 14 days notice of cancellation or fail to attend on the day of your jump, you may be required to pay another deposit.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties other than with your preferred charity.
To make any parachute jump or skydive, you must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18 years of age parental / guardian written permission is required in addition to parental / guardian signature on the Declaration of Fitness to Parachute form or the Student Tandem Parachutist Declaration of Fitness form. Failure to produce this to the Parachute Centre will mean that you are unable to jump.
If aged over 40 you must have the Declaration of Fitness to Parachute form or Student Tandem Parachutist Declaration of Fitness form (for Tandem Parachute jumps only) signed and stamped by a GP. These forms are included in the information pack provided in your confirmation email/letter.
Once again, failure to produce this form to the Parachute Centre means that you will be unable to jump.
Please note that age and weight restrictions apply. Skydive Zone Ltd will advise you accordingly when making your booking.
