Yorkshire Cancer Research is the largest regional medical research charity in the UK funding research into the cause and cure of cancer. It funds about £4 million of research every year in the region’s five centres of research excellence at the Universities of Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield and York and its associated teaching hospitals.

The concentration of specialists and expertise in Yorkshire means that cancer sufferers all over the world have access to some of the best treatment and therapy.

The charity can only continue to fund at this level because of the generous efforts of volunteers.
