Sparks is the only children’s charity that funds medical research across the whole spectrum of childhood illnesses. 1 in 30 children will be born with a health condition that will affect them and their families for life.  Our aim is to reduce this statistic to ensure that all children are born healthy and stay healthy.  We tackle conditions as diverse as cerebral palsy, meningitis, the dangers of pre-mature birth, spina bifida, childhood cancers, brain damage and childhood arthritis. Since 1991, Sparks has funded 186 medical projects totalling £15.5 million.
