SOAR Youth Projects stands for “Socialisation – Opportunities – Activities - Recreation” SOAR is based in Highlands of Scotland and caters for the Ross & Cromarty, Sutherland and surrounding areas. SOAR provides out of school clubs for children and young people with physical/communication/learning difficulties and/or additional needs. Currently SOAR runs two After School Clubs and three Holiday Clubs that cater for children and young people aged 5 years old to 19 years old. The After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs provide safe and fun environments for the children and young people to experience new and fun activities. SOAR also runs the Youth Opportunities For Independence (YOFI) Project. The YOFI Project focuses on increasing the independence of young people with additional needs aged 12 years old to 25 years old by providing mainstream peers as buddies to support young people, build social skills and increase independence in the local community.
