Hospiscare offers high quality care and support to people with life-threatening illnesses and those close to them. What makes Hospiscare special is that people receive a service tailored to their particular needs. We treat each patient as an individual, encompassing the emotional, social and spiritual aspects as well as the physical ones.

Most of our care is given by specialist nurses who work closely with our doctors, chaplain, social care worker, complementary therapists and trained volunteers to make sure that each patient gets the best possible service. We also work closely with the national health service and social services in our area.

Hospiscare's service is available free of charge to everyone who needs it in Exeter, mid and east Devon primary care trust areas.

Founded for the local community, by the local community, Hospiscare is an independent charity. We rely on the generosity of local people to raise most of the £2.6m a year needed to deliver our service.

Hospiscare's services are available at home, in the hospice and in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
