Our Mission Statement

We are ADS (Addiction Dependency Solutions) a North West based charity established in 1973 to promote a better and more sympathetic understanding of alcohol and drug related problems, to study their causes and effects and to undertake and co-operate with all relevant agencies in the prevention, treatment and aftercare of those affected by alcohol and drug misuse.

 Giving to ADS

Even the smallest donation can make a difference to the people ADS helps.  A few pounds will buy toys for the children of the clients in our residential homes, or provide coffee and biscuits for our drop-in services. Many of our clients want to learn new skills so they can get employment – we help by providing computers and printers, stationery and books, art and craft materials – all these are provided through voluntary donations from people like you. 

Larger donations will allow us to provide extra services - £200 will let us run an after school club for children affected by their parents’ alcohol or drug problems for a month. £100 provides a course of acupuncture to help combat withdrawal symptoms. Every penny donated goes directly to help our clients – anyone affected by alcohol and drug related problems.
